Sunday Morning Routine Its not always like this, but having 18+ years in the fitness industry has taught me that the majority of successful, long-term individuals establish a routine to follow the best they can and are highly-organized with their workouts/food/prep. Preparing Lean Protein Sources For example, this morning I started to cook about 6-7 pounds of chicken breast [protein] in the slow cooker. This will take about 6-7 hours but its a super-easy cleanup and I can leave home while its cooking with no worries. Breakfast/Pre-workout Meal I will lay out my first meal of the day the night before so I can easily prepare it. This might seem abnormal, but during the week I regularly get up at 4:45am so this is a must. Gym Bag My gym bag contains my equipment: - Weight lifting shoes - Belt - Wraps/straps - Training journal - MP3 player I also keep extra water and Gatorade in my trunk just in case. Gym Clothes Ready Again, because I get up early it really helps to have everything organized and ready to go. Even on Sundays when I go to the gym later I just keep the same routine so its easy and automatic during the week. Of course, I have my little buddies constant monitor my gym shoes and they make sure the shoe laces are properly chewed upon prior to any good workout. Now to the gym at 9:00am today!
