Sunny, Still Warm Tomorrow SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – It certainly didn’t feel like Christmas today, with a high temperature of 55º at Westover and a mushy ground from the rain last evening. Moving forward, no large storms are in sight, though a cool down to seasonable or just below seasonable levels is in the cards as the year 2014 expires. It’ll still be windy tonight with mostly clear skies and temperatures fairly mild for this time of year, near 30º. Tomorrow features full sunshine as temperatures rise into the middle and upper 40s. Winds will diminish as the day wears on. After many days socked in with complete cloud cover, it will feel awesome outside. Saturday continues the stretch of dry weather, with partly cloudy skies expected. A cold front comes through on Sunday, which will bring some widely scattered rain showers. Otherwise, it will be a gloomy day with mostly cloudy skies. That just about does it for precipitation chances in the extended forecast! On Monday, a storm rides up the frontal boundary, which by this point, should be off the coast. Therefore, Monday is expected to be dry with a good amount of sun, though high clouds may filter the brightness with a storm lurking nearby. The miss isn’t set in stone, and this situation needs at least some monitoring moving forward. After that, it looks cold and mainly dry for New Year’s festivities.
