Surette: the one idea in all this that makes sense: pay off the developer for work done so far — essentially an underground parking garage — and call for tenders for something else to be built on the site. For perhaps $15 million, the province would save some $200 million. Then upgrade WTCC facilities, which are adequate even if not ruinously majestic.
