Surrey Police has released two CCTV images (below) in connection with a burglary at a newsagents in Witley in the early hours of Sunday, January 18th. Thieves broke into T E Francis in Petworth Road at around 3am, forcing the front door open before stealing thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes. The men were both wearing woollen hats and had their faces covered throughout the breakin. PC James Tibbs, who is investigating the incident, said: “We are hoping these images may act as a prompt to someone who can provide us with any information which could assist the investigation.” Anyone who can help is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 45150004718. Information can also be left anonymously with Crimestoppers, which can be contacted on 0800 555 111.
