TALES FROM THE HIPPIE YEARS i was 15 and i had a press pass to be backstage through my connections with the local underground paper and i am onstage with Jethro Tull and I say to Tull,hey Jethro i am your biggest fan and Ian turns to me and yells ,ITs the name of the band stupid!! I shrink like to one inch and turn red muttering,I knew that but being 15 and being resilient i spy Johnny Winter and Rick Derringer in a dressing room and i am sitting on the floor with them sharing my stash of pot and rolling joints with Johnny and Rick having a great time until two blond gorgeous groupies about 16 come in and i am thrown out. Ohh well that was rock n roll.Almost famous.
