TALISMAN – I-Surrection: Since their reformation in 2011 this album has been in the making and has it been worth waiting for? I didn’t expect anything less from Talisman aside from sheer brilliance and that is what I got. Aside from brilliant Roots Reggae tunes there’s also some excellent socially aware lyrics which compliment each other. In fact this album has constantly been on the player since it fell through the letterbox. It’s been played that often even the dog has been pleading with me to change the disc! Tracks such as ‘Greetings And Salutations’, ‘Help Yourself’ are ‘Praise Jah’ are well worthy of a listen. Even better the dub versions of the songs featured on this baby really do grab you.
