TELANGANA AGITATION STARTED IN 1953 – PLEASE READ THIS ALL PACKAGES SINCE 1956 ARE A FAILURE – JAI TELANGANA WITH CAPITAL AS HYDERABAD (JOINT CAPITAL FOR 5 YEARS FOR SEEMANDHRA) ONLY FIRST STATES REORGANISATION COMMISSION: Andhra-Telangana 1953 By the 1952, the demand for creation of a Telugu-majority state in the parts of the Madras State had become powerful. Potti Sreeramulu, one of the activists demanding the formation of a Telugu-majority state, died on 16 December 1952 after undertaking a fast-unto-death. Subsequently, the Telugu-majority Andhra State was formed in 1953. This sparked of agitations all over the country, with linguistic groups demanding separate statehoods.[1] In order to reorganise the states, the Government of India constituted the State Reorganisation Commission (SRC) under the chairmanship of Fazl Ali, a former Supreme Court judge. The Commission’s report judged the arguments for and against the merger of the Telugu-majority Telangana region (of Hyderabad State) and the Andhra State (created in 1953). Para 369 to 389 of SRC deals with the merger of Telangana and Andhra to establish the Andhra Pradesh state (complete text of the recommendations is available on Wikisource). Several Telugu leaders disagreed with the merger, and continued to pursue a separate Telangana. POTTI SREERAMULU IS IN NO WAY CONNECTED TO CREATION OF ANDHRA PRADESH AS HE DIED IN 16TH Dec., 1952 well before 4 years of formation of Andhra Pradesh. LALIT KUMAR COMMITTEE – 1956 TO 1968 TELANGANA FUNDS USED FOR ANDHRA, BHARGHAVA COMMITTEE ALSO SAID TELANGANA FUNDS USED FOR ANDHRA. SINCE 1953 SEPARATE TELANGANA DEMAND IS THERE 1. The Gentlemen’s Agreement, 2. The All Party Accord, 3. The Eight Point Formula By Smt. Indira Gandhi – PM 4. The Five Point Formula, By Smt. Indira Gandhi – PM 5. Were they not experiments to safeguard the interests of Telangana within the integrated state of Andhra Pradesh? Have any of these agreements been implemented? Have any of these solemn pledges been redeemed? Have any of the judicial pronouncements including the verdict of Supreme Court of India been honored? Now what else is left to be further experimented with?
