I welcome you all. It is no longer news that the national Leaders of this nation Nigeria have failed Nigeria Youth and the entire citizens. The past and current method of governance has put this nation in a quandary; make the nation building impossible and only made abject poverty and erosion of a just society inevitable in the Nation. Nigeria has been locked in a life and death battle with joblessness, Youths neglects, security challenges, Leadership failure and abject poverty, epileptic power supply… many but to mention a few. The Asiwaju Frontliners realized the urgent needs to mobilize students and Youths nation-wide to stand against oppression; second slavery, Anarchy, neglects, basterdisation of the Nigeria economy and trading the Future of the Nigerian Youth of present and yet unborn generations. BARACK OBAMA ONCE SAID: Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the one we have been waiting We are the change that we seek While Nelson Mandela also wrote in a letter to his wife on 23rd June 1969 as follow…... A new world will be won not by those who stand at a distance with their arms folded. But by those who are in the arena, whose garments are torn by storms and whose body are maimed in the course of contest. The entire world is now praying for Mandela not to die at the ripe age of 95 years… when will Nigeria produce her own Mandela. Except the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo that the burial was celebrated nationwide. NIGERIA YOUTHS, IS TIME TO STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHT. LABOUR PARTY (An extension of PDP) In the history of Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, right from the day of Pa Umodu of blessed memory, NLC has been the voice of downtrodden Nigerians and the entire poor masses, but recently the turn is changing to undanceable lyrics. The Labour Movement in Nigeria should be careful never to let the Prodigal sons to tarnish the image and credibility of the organization built by the founding Father for the labour of our heroes pass never to be in vain. Furthermore, never to return to the days and styles of Pascal Bafyau that almost frustrated the June 12 struggle that brought democratic system of government we are partially enjoying in Nigeria of today… kudos to a few members of NLC that stood firmly and keenly to the liberations and emancipation of our dear nation Nigeria. ATTENTION Many of the suspended and aggrieved members of the ruling People Democratic party (PDP) who has no interest of the masses or the organization at heart decamped to Labour Party and now using the channel of NLC to achieve their greed and selfish political mission. I want all to realize June 12 election annulment and struggle has opened our 3rd eyes. It is time to for us to take our destiny into our hands. THE PDP BASTERDIZATION OF NIGERIA AND THE ECONOMY The way Nigeria is governed must change drastically; Nigeria is blessed among the continent either we like it or not Almighty God made it so. Presently, so far, so bad….. So to say, the ruling party PDP has failed Nigeria in all ways… since their hijacked of power at the central from 1999 to date. Over 14 years. We cannot see any credible Landmark achievement to point at. Youth’s empowerment is Zero, security of lives and properties of the Citizenry, they failed, provision of basic amenities zero, employment and job creation is another calamity, Educational Support and Development is nothing to write home about, Epileptic power supply with outrageous estimated bills, you all can be my witness to the aforementioned. Recently PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN terminated the contract of bi-Courtney, the company that won the contract of Lagos Ibadan expressway and re awarded it to another company; despite his jamboree flag off we are yet see any visible progress on site. But Nigerian lawmakers spent 1 TRILLION IN 8 YEARS, Minister spent 2 billions of chartered flight, presidency spent billions on food and entertainment; when so many people are living in abject poverty and the Nation`s workforce, the youth are unemployment or when the employment exist, they are under-employed. It is wrong to give priority to the claims of those who are well off. It was a great surprise and total dismay to express our feeling over the statement of the minister of finance Okonjo Iweala ‘that Federal Government of Nigeria can not meet up educational demand of her country’. WHAT ARE THEY DOING THERE? Never her fault, none of them have their children schooling in a public university in Nigeria and we all folded our arms meanwhile, The Federal Government of Nigeria Budget on education is 8% yearly while Ghana budgeted 31% of her total budget on education in 2013. We keep claiming the giant of Africa and nothing to show for it. Despite the UNESCO recommendation of 26% on Education, the presidency spends billions of naira on Nollywood (of course, we are not against the grant to Nollywood, the big question is, how many up and coming movie producers have been able to access these largesse?), mobilization of disgraceful mothers who have sold their birthright because of portage and the future of their children across the 36 states of the Federation. Singing praise of PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN and his wife at Abuja. Mind you this uprising will bring out the beast in us…` POSTERITY WILL JUDGE YOU ALL THESE PEOPLE AT THE TOP. “If education is expensive, try ignorance” The only laudable achievement of PDP led government is the global system mobile (GSM Phone) which they brought to us after 25 years with one of the highest tariff on local calls worldwide after they have primarily use ITT to loot our treasury. Many of us can remember Fela’s song… International Thief Thief. Elaborate party and welcome ceremony for looters among them after completion of jail terms. Fuel subsidy scam has been far buried; the presidency purposely authorized the indirect stoppage of the probe in order to favour the big wigs among them who donated handsomely to finance the PDP and other personal interest. WE CAN NOT CONTINUE LIKE THIS. OUR DEMAND FROM ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS I stand to tell you today for the good of Nigerian youths, betterment of this country, peace of mind for the leaders and joy for the old ages. The simple methodology of job creation and crime reduction are the followings: NATIONAL YOUTHS SERVICE COPRS (NYSC) should be changed to NATIONAL YOUTHS SERVICE EMPOWERMENT CORPS (NYSEC) Which the12 month’s service duration should be categorized into two sections of six months each: 1st section: Six months should be allocated for the national services as they have been doing since inception 2nd Section: six months should be for entrepreneurships training and development for the entire corps members. After the completion of the total 12 months of section one and section two, The sum of N500,000 Five Hundred Thousand naira non refundable start up capital should be given to each of the copers after the satisfaction on the business plan present , The payment must not exceed maximum of 30 days after the completion of the programme CALCULATION: Nigeria produced 50,000 coppers yearly 50,000 copers multiply by N500, 000 per corper TOTAL N25Billions Yearly That will be difficult for PDP Led Government to execute such project but a minister can spend N2billion naira to chartered jet in two years and still scot free One keep wondering how long we are will continue with this kind of failed leadership. Power Must Change Hands for A Better Nigeria of Our Generation Assuming PDP government has embarked on this kind of project at the inception of their presence at presidency, they would have empowered 700,000 corpers at the end of 2013 in which multiplier effect would have engaged over 10 to 15 million Nigerian youths out of 40 million jobless Nigerian youths. FREE EDUCATION AT ALL LEVEL On the 20th September 1975 free education association of Nigeria was formerly launched in lagos Nigeria with well define constitution . The association decided in January 1976 to commemorate the 67th birthday anniversary of chief Obafemi Awolowo born on 6th march 1909. The reason for this action was not far fetched. They claimed that exactly 21 years ago then precisely far back to 1955. Chief Obafemi Awolowo while the leader of the old western region government introduced the first taste of free universal education at all primary school level…. The first of its kind in the entire black race … since then he has single handedly preached the gospel of free education at all level…due to appreciation of his constituent, persistent, unflagging, courageous and dogged advocacy for this At the celebration of 67 years birthday of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, “FREE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA WAS LAUNCHED. Chief Gani Fawehinmi of blessed memory was the General Secretary but the association can not see the light of today again. Awolowo has done it during the old western region days it was successful with proceed from cocoa. May his gentle souls rest in peace…..We can not see what they are us We can still do it better. SOVEREIGN NATIONAL CONFERENCE (SNC) Must come to stay, although presently, we have been able to achieve SNG (Save Nigeria Group); SNG and SNC little different SNG will produce SNC, we all youths need to take the bull by the horn. Our future is at stake, we must take side. CONCLUSION For a good, better and best Nigeria, we all Nigeria youths and students nationwide must come together and join hands with the Progressive (APC) to give them a trial at the Presidency (National Level) to chase away anarchy, oppressor, greedy leaders, kindergarten leaders and those that stole our right from us. Progressive governors record has proved it in their various states, they can do better let join them and support them. We are not going to be distracted by their bags of money, contracts nor political appointments to buy our conscience. “Conscience us an open wound and it is only truth that can heal it”. Our target is to liberate Nigeria Youths and the entire nation. • We have done it against the military during the June 12 struggle. • We have done it against President Obasanjo 3rd term agenda all succeeded. • We can still do it. This is our last hope • Nigerian youths; get up, stand up, stand up for right, don’t give up the fight. LIBERATION, NOW OR NEVER. NIGERIA YOUTHS ARISE. God bless you all. God bless Nigeria.
