THAT DRUMMER GUYS TOP 20 ALBUMS OF 2014 19.) Distorted Harmony- Chain Reaction FFO: Progressive Metal, Progressive Rock, all clean vocals Distorted Harmony is the other great Progressive Metal band to come from Israel (The other being, obviously, Orphaned Land). Distorted Harmony instead of taking the Hebrew influences like Orphaned Land does, but instead just takes on the ideas of writing ridiculously great Progressive Metal. One assessment I have read about the band is if Periphery didnt used the Meshuggah Djent tone. While there is so much more that can be added to that statement, its a pretty good description. The band does use drop tuning in the guitars but it is in no way in the Djent style. The vocals are amazing and absolutely fit the style. The musicianship is uncompromising and perfect. There is not one song on this album that feels similar to another. It showcases a broad span of influences and done in a way that is catchy and heavy, while being technical and mind blowing to hear. I really hope these guys get signed soon, if there is a band out there that deserves a loving label backing them, it is Distorted Harmony. https://youtube/watch?v=flcB5hcg484
