THE ARRIVAL OF SATA Acting President Scott yesterday refused to give a speech shortly before the arrival of president Sata’s body. Upon his arrival, Dr Scott proceeded to the saluting dais and later went to greet service chiefs, members of the central committee, ministers and diplomats gathered at KKIA. While greeting people, the stand was seen being removed from where it was positioned for acting President Scott to address the people at the airport. Dr Scott consoled Kasama Central PF member of parliament Geoffrey Mwamba who wept upon shaking hands with him, urging him to remain strong. “Stop crying, be strong. You want all of us to be crying? Be strong,” said acting President Scott before proceeding to greet Mwansabombwe PF member of parliament Rodgers Mwewa. President Sata’s body was later taken to Mulungushi International Conference Centre where body viewing will take place until next Sunday. Dr Kaseba led mourners in the wreath-laying ceremony at Mulungushi, followed by acting President Scott and Charlotte, Dr Kaunda, Cabinet and deputy ministers and diplomats, among others. Members of the public started paying their last respects to president Sata this morning at 09:00 hours. President Sata will be laid to rest at the Embassy Park presidential burial site in Lusaka on November 11. - See more at: postzambia/news.php?id=3609#sthash.0ghMpPZT.dpuf
