THE HIGH FLIERS - ISAIAH 40 v 28 - 31 When an eagle in the sky - TopicsExpress

THE HIGH FLIERS - ISAIAH 40 v 28 - 31 When an eagle in the sky encounters a storm, it does not have to land. It does not have to fly through that storm. The eagle turns its eyes toward the heavens and it rises above the approaching storm. While the storm lashes the earth beneath with its wind and rain, the mighty eagle flies above the clouds with its face toward the sun. My friends, that is possible for us as well. The Lord here promises to give us the strength we need to be able to surmount our storms and fly high above them through His grace. In other words, He wants to make us the high fliers. He did this for the disciples. When Jesus died on the cross, the disciples were divided, discouraged and defeated. They were ready to quit. They believed that all their efforts to serve God had been wasted, and that their faith in Jesus Christ had been misplaced. Now, fast-forward to after the resurrection. They become fearless in their proclamation of the Gospel. Over 3,000 are saved on the Day of Pentecost. 5,000 are saved a short time later. Millions are saved by the end of the first century. Why? It all happened because God gave grace to His people and they were made to soar by His power! He made them to be high fliers!!!. Consider Paul, He was an enemy of the church and of the Gospel. But, after he was saved by grace, he was empowered to soar high for the glory of God. God took Paul and transformed him into a dynamic missionary for Christ. Phil. 3:13-14, “13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” When Paul penned those words, he was in a Roman prison. But, that was merely his physical location. SPIRITUALLY, PAUL WAS FLYING HIGH IN JESUS CHRIST, MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN HIS WORLD. When most others would have given up, Paul was enabled to “mount up with wings as eagles” and touch his generation for God. Paul discovered that There Is Grace To Help You Soar. God wants to make us all HIGH FLIERS like the EAGLE, soaring HIGH by HIS POWER, through Christ Jesus. I pray that we will all be enlightened to this eternally relevant truth and that WE WILL SOAR HIGH IN JESUS, ABOVE OUR STORMS, FOR HIS GLORY. Paul Ola/ Alan Carr
