John 14:16,17 NIV Jesus Christ Knew that He was leaving the earth physically and assured His followers that He will not leave them unattended. He Told them that He would come to them; the world would not see Him but His followers would. He Promised them His Holy Spirit personified! The world cannot accept Him because they cannot see Him and do not know Him! However, the disciples know Him; He lives with them and will be in them! When you have the Holy Spirit, you know! Ezekiel 36:25-27 NASB This sprinkling of clean water is symbolic of the Holy Spirit; for only the Holy Spirit can cleanse us from all filthiness and all idolatory. Who else can remove our hardened hearts and give us a heart of flesh? Who else would put His Spirit in us and cause us to walk in His Ways and according to His Word? Only the Holy Spirit can do that. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 1 Corinthians 2:12 NIV We who receive the Holy Spirit must understand that we have not received a worldly spirit; and there is a worldly spirit! However, we have received the Spirit of God and from God, so that we would understand the free gift of God!!! (16) Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (17) If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Now, the gift of God to us which is His Holy Spirit, we carry in our body, which is the temple of the Living God! We must understand and appreciate that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God dwells in us; hence, we cannot do as we wish with our bodies! We must not defile our body; otherwise God will destroy us! The temple of God is holy and must be kept holy in Jesus Name. Amen!!!
