THE IMPORTANCE AND THE BENEFITS OF THE INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN A LIFE OF TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN. LIVING A VICTORIOUS LIFE AS A TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN IS ONLY BY BEING LED BY THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD, AND NOT BY THE RELIGIOUS WRITTEN CODE OF LAW. Rom:7:6 But now we are discharged from the Law {and} have terminated all intercourse with it, having died to what once restrained {and} held us captive. So now we serve not under [obedience to] the old code of written regulations, but [under obedience to the promptings] of the Spirit in newness [of life]. 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. A CHRISTIANITY WITHOUT THE LEADING OF THE SPIRIT IS SPIRITUAL DEADNESS. Rom:8:5 For those who are according to the flesh {and} are controlled by its unholy desires set their minds on {and} pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit {and} are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on {and} seek those things which gratify the [Holy] Spirit. Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever]. [That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to Gods Law; indeed it cannot. So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please {or} satisfy God, {or} be acceptable to Him. WITHOUT THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AS A CHRISTIAN, WE CANT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THOSE THINGS THAT WERE GIVEN TO US BY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER FREELY IN OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST FINISHED WORK. 1Cor:2:10-14: Yet to us God has unveiled {and} revealed them by {and} through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring {and} examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond mans scrutiny]. For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a mans thoughts except the mans own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize {and} comprehend {and} appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God. And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the [Holy] Spirit, combining {and} interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who possess the Holy Spirit]. But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept {or} welcome {or} admit into his heart the gifts {and} teachings {and} revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned {and} estimated {and} appreciated. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO REVEAL THE THINGS OF GOD INTO OUR INNER MAN SPIRIT. JOHN:16:13-14:But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce {and} declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. He will honor {and} glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you. Pro:20:27 The spirit of man [that factor in human personality which proceeds immediately from God] is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts. Job:32:8 But there is [a vital force] a spirit [of intelligence] in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives men understanding. IN ORDER TO SEE THE GLORY OF GOD BEEN MADE MANIFEST IN OUR LIVES AS A TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, WILL BE BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND NOT BY STRIVING THROUGH THE SELF EFFORTS PERFORMANCE OF RELIGIOUS RUDIMENTS TRADITION DOCTRINE OF MERE MEN WRITTEN CODE. 2Cor:3:18 And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His {very own} image in ever increasing splendor {and} from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit. 2Cor:3:4-5: Such is the reliance {and} confidence that we have through Christ toward {and} with reference to God. Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments {or} to claim {or} count anything as coming from us, but our power {and} ability {and} sufficiency are from God. OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST KNEW THAT NO ONE IN THE FLESH CAN PLEASE GOD, AND HE MADE IT KNOWN TO US THAT ONLY THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT WE CAN SERVE, AND WORSHIP GOD. John:4:24 God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship {Him} in spirit and in truth (reality). IT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT ACT IN THE PLACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST IN OUR LIVES AS A TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN. ALL WHAT WE WILL EVER WANT OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST TO BE FOR US IS FOUND IN THE HOLY GHOST. John:14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. AS A TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, ITS ONLY THROUGH THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WE CAN PRAY FERVENTLY AND HAVE AN EFFECTUAL PRAYERS LIFE IN THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD. Rom:8:26-27: So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid {and} bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer {nor} how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication {and} pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings {and} groanings too deep for utterance. And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes {and} pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to {and} in harmony with Gods will. WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT, EVERY GIFT OF GODS IN OUR LIVES WILL BE DORMANT. 2Tim:1:14 Guard {and} keep [with the greatest care] the precious {and} excellently adapted [Truth] which has been entrusted [to you], by the [help of the] Holy Spirit Who makes His home in us. AS A TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, WE MUST REALISE THIS VERY TRUTH ABOUT HOLY SPIRIT, HE IS OUR FATHER. HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT JUST AN ORDINARY FORCE OR POWER, HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD. OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST MADE IT KNOWN TO US THAT IT IS HOLY SPIRIT THAT DOES ALL THE WORK THAT HE DID IN HIS EARTHLY MINISTRY WHILE HE WALKED ON EARTH IN THE FLESH. HE REFERRED TO HOLY SPIRIT AS HIS FATHER. John:14:8-10: Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father [cause us to see the Father--that is all we ask]; then we shall be satisfied. Jesus replied, Have I been with all of you for so long a time, and do you not recognize {and} know Me yet, Philip? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say then, Show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? What I am telling you I do not say on My own authority {and} of My own accord; but the Father Who lives continually in Me does the ({His}) works (His own miracles, deeds of power). IF WE WANT TO ENJOY OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE, WE MUST ASK FOR HIS PRESENCE TO BE MADE MANIFEST IN OUR LIVES. ALL WHAT IS REQUIRED OF US IS TO ASK OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. Luke:11:9-13: So I say to you, Ask {and} keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek {and} keep on seeking and you shall find; knock {and} keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks {and} keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks {and} keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks {and} keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for {a loaf of bread, will give him a stone; or if he asks for} a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts [gifts that are to their advantage] to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask {and} continue to ask Him! IF WE WANT TO LIVE IN A DIVINE HEALTH, IT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT WILL BRING IT TO FRUITION. Rom:8:10-11: But if Christ lives in you, [then although] your [natural] body is dead by reason of sin {and} guilt, the spirit is alive because of [the] righteousness [that He imputes to you]. And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ {Jesus} from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you. CHRISTIANITY WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A DEAD RELIGION.
