THE IRONY BEHIND HOW THE BROTHERHOOD OF O.T AND KUMASI HIGH BEGUN.....:O.T was formed in 1940 as a Training College. In 1972-1973 Academic year, a number of Training College in the Country wereconverted into Secondary Schoolz as OSEI TUTU TRAINING COLLEGE was affected.KUHIS was formed in 1964 as a private School but was converted into Government in 1965-1966 Academic year. OT started with the slogan ABREMPON meaning "OKESE3" because they were named after the Late OSEI TUTU I which they thaught they deserve that name as a mixed school that time. When KUHIS moved from Kwadaso and came to Gyinase as boyz school they also decided to use ABREMPON as thier slogan.In 1991-1996 these two schools were called ABREMPON as the prople in Ashanti were confused about the school to be called by thatname. OT thaught they have to maintain that name because they were established first before KUHIS in Ghana. These two schools were the BIGGEST rivalz in Ashanti and Ghana as well.They always fought themselves whenever they meet either at stadium or town.Bad Conduct of the two schools led them to Ghana Education Service (GES) to maintain peace among them but the peaceful talk wasnt enough for the two schoolz as they continue to fight to the maximum limit. The two headmasters (MR. OFORI YENTUMI) head of OSEI TUTU at that time and (MR. E.A SEKYERE) head of KUHIS at that timetoo decided to report the incidence to the Asantehene the late OTUMFUOR OPOKU WARE II to decide for them. To hold and behold, Asantehene organise a footbsll match between the two schools thus home and away game meaning one played at VACUS LANDand TORONTO DESERT to decide whom the name ABREMPON will be given to.After the two legs O.T beat KUHIS @ Vacus by 1-0 and ended 0-0 @ Toronto Desert. Which means OSEI TUTU has to maintain the name ABREMPON so Kuhis accepted in good faith and one man at the palace said "KUHISIANS ARE EVEN GENTLEMEN THUS WHY THEY LOST. So he decided to call KUHIS MMERANTEE. Since then they name ABREMPON were used for OSEI TUTU whiles MMERANTEE were. used by KUMASI HIGH SCHOOL.This is how and when OSEI TUTU and KUMASI HIGH SCHOOL has been together till now.LONG LIVE ABREMPON!!!LONG LIVE MMERANTEE!!!BRADEZ FOR EVER!!!!
