THE KENYAN DAILY POST Wednesday October 2, 2013 The Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court (ICC) has now written to President Uhuru Kenyatta requesting him to resign his state job as the President of Kenya when his trial commences in November. In a letter signed by ICC Chief Prosecutor, Fotou Bensouda, last week, the Prosecutor requested the Head of State to resign his job or find his replacement before the start of his trial to avoid inconveniences when his hearing starts. Even though it was not a formal application, the fact that the prosecution was suggesting that President Uhuru Kenyatta should swear in somebody was enough to convince Kenyans that the ICC is a political court funded by Western Noe-colonialists. Some political pundits and lawyers said Bensouda’s move will make more Kenyan’s lose their faith in the court because this may be termed as mere witch-hunting. President Uhuru Kenyatta’s trial commence on November 12.
