THE MODERN DAY PHARISEES ¶ Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! Luke 17:1 2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Luke 17:2 I don’t know why our Adventists lecturers at FUTA aren’t trying to write a letter, memo, proposal, or whatever it may be called, to school organization concerning academic activities on the seventh day of the week. That why can’t the school do likewise on the first day of the week. Since I entered this school in 2008, there has never been any academic activity on Sunday except once that we met our GNS 101 lecturer for some info that those who weren’t there could get later. By God’s grace, the church would grow. Many on this campus would hear the truth especially the Sabbath doctrine and get converted just like me. But what would be their lot if those who are our leaders can’t stand for us in a matter like this. These people can’t tell us to become 21ST CENTURY SUPERSTARS if they offend any of us. No wonder their children are not better than them. Such parents cannot produce the Psalm 127 kind of children who “will speak with their enemies at the gate”. Such parents will only keep the Sabbath as long as it is convenient and doesn’t intrude with work will teach their children likewise. Elder Adetuyi opened a text in Jeremiah and commented that God would ask us that where our children are. Well, tougher questions await them. Questions like, “What influence did you make in your sphere”. Anyway, I would be praying for all of them that God would convict them. I am seriously offended and wish this message would reach them. Two years ago when I joined the church from my Sunday church, I heard they were some few students who wouldn’t break the Sabbath. I don’t know if they still exist. If they do, please point me in their direction. I want to know them, encourage them, pray for them and form a team with them. Those are the real ADVENTISTS. Finally, I need prayers. May God help me next session to make money that would cover my school and accommodation fees and also my personal needs. I’m ready to do any business even if it is selling gala on the highway. If a vehicle hits me and I die, well that would be great! We would see in heaven. My poor parents who don’t know what I know don’t deserve to be treated badly. Their money won’t be wasted for it would be lying down in my account.
