THE MYSTERY OF ANGELS Angels are spiritual beings created by God, to minister before Him. They were created to praise God in heaven in the order of His word and in reverences to His name {Job26:13, Rev7:11-12}. Angel never dies physical death because of the nature God made them, for they were not made with mortal like man. They can only die spiritual when they commit evil against God . God uses them to minister to other creatures in heaven according to His word. While God created Angels to be in heaven, man was designed to live on earth just like the Angels in Heaven {luke20:34-35}. They were created to have dominion upon every other creature made on earth through the word of God, which implies ruling on earth with the word of God. But consider that sin has entered into the earth through the Angels who disobeyed God and refused to repent, which happened before man were created, God offered him a special grace to help him overcome the devil and his agents and be able to retain his position on earth. This grace started before man was created physically on earth, but was allowed to unfold to the knowledge of man when he got deceived by the devil. To understand the purpose of any creature of God given for the freedom of man from sin, we must first understand that the entire Bible was a plan to redeem man unfolding through him. This plan unfolds with respect to time, and it began from the lowest level where man can understand based on the grace which has been offered to him. The scripture says in Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled”. For any man to gain true understanding of this plan, such one must first have a true desire to know God and to follow His plan, it is at point of sincere desire about God that the Holy Spirit Of God draws closer and directs man. This is what God is saying in the book of Jeremiah6:16, “....Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk therein”. When any man’s desires in knowing God nor preaching His word is just for the present glory of material blessings around him, which the Bible confirmed to be temporal, such person is bound to be deceived by the devil. The major reason is that Christ has said in Matthew 6:33, “....seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”. Devil knows the truth and tries to obey them, but does not submit himself to the will of God {James2:19}. Because he knew the instruction of our lord Jesus Christ to all men, whenever man fail to obey it, automatically , he obtain the right to deceive him more and accuse him before God for eternal destruction . The kingdom of God begins with peace of God inside the heart, at any moment the true peace is not settled in our heart, the enemy draws closer to such heart to infest his own peace which is based on the pleasures of life and peace obtained from the worldly systems. We know that the word of God according to the plan is true for every generation, until the plan comes to an end, but they are not static. God is not static in His word, every of His word has a targets, and that is to achieve His plan in saving man from evil, so that He can dominate the earth through His world. With the understandings that He lowered down His word to the level of man and begins to raise it as the plan continues to unfold for man’s perfection in righteousness. Whenever the devil deceives man to lust after the world, he quickly runs back to the past stages of the plan and begins to reveal them to him to suit the carnal desire he leads him into. Because it is from the Bible man got easily deceived, and because all the word of God is true and designed to redeem man, its fulfilment we happen in line leading to the plan. This subject, man, most of the time is in serious danger to the wrath of God, for in this plan, there is a room left for whosoever chooses to be the son of perdition, and all through the plan it is being revealed to man{ Genesis3:15}. John8:31-32, Jesus says, “...If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. Jesus stressed on the need for anyone who has known Him to continue in His spoken words which were spirit of grace, designed to free man from devil’s deception and self deception. Christ wants man to come to the point of knowing the truth about the creations and the plan designed to redeem him from eternal destruction, which is the only thing that helps him submit to God and obtain good reward designed for him before the creation of the world. The truth on how the plan is unfolding helps man to be free from every evil deceptions of the enemy, it gives man hope to wait on the promises of God, faith to believe Him in any condition and love to work according to the grace and mercy shown to him by our lord Jesus Christ. In the scripture the records we have about the angels in heaven as it concerns this plan started when God brought out His plan designed to redeem man from sin, and none of them were able to redeem man, for they were creature like man. But Jesus Christ was qualified to receive the plan and carry out the desire of God inside the plan. Then angels were made to worship Christ as the lion of the tribe of Judah, who only is worthy to deliver man from the hand of the devil who was once with them before his disobedience started {Hebrew 1:6, Rev5}. When Christ finished the work of redemption on earth and gone to be with the father in heaven, God commended the heavenly host to worship Him and the angels were to perform their work through Him and by His command, they were made spirit to minister to man through Christ {Hebrew1:14}. But before the work of redemption was performed, immediately man sinned and was driven out of the garden, God sent His angels to guard and preserve the garden for man; this interprets God desire to use His angels in His plan to redeem man from evil. This marked the beginning of the work of the obedient angels of God on earth as recorded in the scripture {Gen 3:24}. After God has pronounced the punishment of sin on those who have disobeyed His word, He opens His original plan to redeem man from sin to him. Adam being the head was moved to accept the promise of God to mankind, and he decreed with faith the name of his wife to be Eve, which means the mother of all men, through her the promise of God to bring forth a seed which is Jesus Christ was fulfilled on earth {Genesis 3:15;20}. But spiritually this woman was referring to the church, the body of Christ through whom Christ will bruise the head of the seed of serpent “devil” and reveal the whole truth of creation and redemption plan of God to the inhabitants of the earth. These has been the battle that the devil has been waging against man right from his fall, that is to deny him the truth about God’s plan for His creatures and His plan to redeem him back through His son Jesus Christ after he has fallen into sin. This woman {church} was later described in Revelation12, her attire and what she will go through in order to bring forth her son which is “Jesus Christ” the truth that will save the world from delusion. When the plan began with Adam ,it begins to unfold right from the scratch, God descended very low to explain to man how the plan will be unfolding through him, pointing him to Jesus Christ who has agreed to pay for his sins through His blood. Understanding that from the beginning man has never set his physical eyes on God, his communication with God was direct from his heart, but when sin came in, there was a separation that caused Him to allow His Angels to appear physically to him when he can no longer distinguish his voice in his heart again. Jesus Christ at His appearance on earth to establish the real truth about God says in John 1:18, “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him”. Christ is the perfect image of God designed to free man from sin, on Him was every other messengers send to man by God, where brought forth. But because of sin which brought man lower in the knowledge of God, and must be covered by the blood of Christ before man can be free, those messengers where not able to appear in the full image of Christ before man until the price for sin is paid for the sin of the whole world. Because of this, the angels where allowed to appear to man the way he can understood easily, which was more effective when Christ have not came, but after His coming, they now appears in the glory of His word. The physical appearance of the angels to man did not start immediately after the fall, God was still talking to him direct and through other simple means until he finally went into delusion, man’s heart was full of evil thought. Initially He chose the lineage of Seth whom the Bible confirmed to be godly and was speaking to them until they were yoked together in marriage with Cain lineage who were ungodly, then everything was corrupted {Gen 4:26.6}. Genesis 6:5 says, “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually”. When God can no longer relate with man because of his evil heart, He destroyed the first world with flood and choose only Noah’s family and continued unfolding the plan on man. From Noah’s descendants, He choose Abraham whom He used to show man in more details how He intended man to follow the plan, which at the end, the mystery of godliness was established to man. It was from the time of Abraham that the bible records the appearance of angels to man physically, just like man {Genesis 18, 19). At this time, there were many reasons why God allowed it to be so; to Abraham’s family, they believed that such visitors were God’s messengers sent to them. God was using that to teach man on how to perform his work as servants of God here on earth, for that is what man was created to be. Therefore for him to retain the earth man needs to learn how to work with God through His word. From the scripture we understand that the moon light which God created physically for man was representing the period of law, at which the stars do appear physically. In the time of the laws, the angels of God were seen physically delivering their messages to man, but their appearance were diminishing just as the plan continues to unfold to man understanding. Psalm 104:4, says, “who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire”: The Bible confirmed that the angels of God were made to be spirit and they are messengers of God. We can clearly understand the dispensations of angels according to plan, from the knowledge of the physical creature made to represent the dispensation of lights. God created three types of light visible to man and this represents three spiritual lights designed to bring man into perfection. After creating these lights He said in Genesis 1:14, “….. Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years”. The first was the moon light, Psalm104:19 says, “He appointed the moon for seasons”, the moon light was designed to give her own light during the night hours of the days, as a sign to the spiritual light it has a season for her to guide the footsteps of man before the true light of day. During this period of time the stars of heaven were made visible to the eyes of man, and this light is a sign of the type of light God showed to man during the time of the law {dispensation of law}. The second light is the sun, in psalm 104:19b says “the sun knoweth his going down”. This sign is the clear love of God’s image shown through Jesus Christ, “the sun of righteousness” the only light that can clear all darkness. In the full rising of this light, no other light is allowed to appear visible on his own, all were made to absorb and radiate their light through Him {psalm 136:8-9}. This grace that God gives to man through His son has a time it will end, and that is the going down of the sun, the end of all things. The last is the stars, which represent the angels of God in heaven and man who is to be like them here on earth {Genesis 15:5, Jude 1:13, Daniel 12:3}. The stars as the symbols used for angels and man can only appear visible during the time of darkness, less light. in Acts 27:23, the spirit of God speaks through apostle Paul, saying, “For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am and whom I serve”, the statement made here is clear that ‘men’ who are servants of God were made to be like angels in heaven and to perform the same work they do in heaven here on earth through the light from Jesus Christ. This is what Paul meant when he said “Whose I am and whom I serve”, he as the minister of God was serving the purpose of the angels in heaven in revealing the mind of God concerning their journey. The ministration of angels to man was visible during the time of the laws, the prophets, the judges and the kings of the children of Israel. At the beginning of their appearance, they were so visible and appear in the nature of man, but as the plan continue to unfold, their visibility continue to diminish, just as Christ is being prepared to appear on earth, their physical ministrations to man was gradually withdrawing from them to be in the spirit form. Angels during this period were made to appear to man just like the stars during the moon light, but at the rising of the sun, even though their position is still retained, their light will be over-shadowed by the brightness of the sun. During the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the angel appeared to Mary the mother of Jesus Christ Physically to deliver the message of the birth. But at the birth of Christ, they bore wittiness to the shepherds physically, and then continue to appear to man mostly through dreams. In the time of the ministration of Jesus Christ on earth, whenever He is communicating with God, the angels stand as the ministering spirit between Him and God, they were used to transmit the information needed to Christ immediately. The appearance of the angels to man again came up after His dead, when the full price for sin has been paid and the opportunity for man to bear the true light and become like them on earth were opened. Because the apostles were still with unbelief to most of His word delivered to them about His resurrection, and they still other section of the plan written at the back to be delivered before the scripture can be fully developed as one plan on earth, being the rising of a new covenant of God with man {Revelation5:1}. Angels were allowed to appear physically again to remind man with the truth, to help him at the foundation of the gospel, until the arrival of the Holy Spirit and man were able to understand His leadings. Toward the end of the foundation, the Spirit of God speak through the writer of the book of Hebrew, confirming God’s approved method to minister to man through the angel, saying in verse14 of Hebrew chapter1, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation”. After the foundation of the gospel, angels were send forth to man as a ministering spirit, to minister to him through the word of God {bible} according to the leadings of the Holy Spirit. The women who went to the grave to anoint the body of Jesus Christ were made to see the angels who directed them on the state of things and gave them hope that Christ has resurrected from the death {John 20:13}. During the ascension of Jesus Christ to heaven, when their eyes were still up looking to see Jesus again, the angels appeared to them giving hope that this same Jesus who was taking away from them will soon appear again to man just in the same manner He was removed from them, the two angels symbolized the steps Jesus will take through the angels to visit the church before he appears physically to rule the earth {Acts1:9-11 Luke 12:38}, Hebrew 1:1-3, says, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” Christ after He had paid for the sin of the whole world, God gave Him the name above all name in heaven and earth, that in His name every knee shall bow to the glory of God. God gave Him power above every other power and made all the creatures to be subject to His command. God commanded that Christ should sit at His right hand till all His enemies were made His footstool, and to the angels He made ministering spirit to minister unto man who shall be the heirs of salvation which Christ brought on earth. Christ is right now at the right hand of the father seated, while He continue to minister to man through the angels in the brightness of His word already delivered to him. In this new dispensation of grace, angels still retain their positions in order of God’s administration as “ministering spirit”, but now under the full leadership of our Lord Jesus Christ. The angels can still be used to protect man, offer courage, guidance, punishment, or even fight against the evil forces etc but they glory is covered by the word of God; they officiate in the plan of redemption as ministering spirits. In Hebrew chapter 1, it were clear that God is now speaking direct to man through the Bible, and Christ states it clear that these written words were spirits, for man to understand them, God offered the spirit of the Truth {Holy Spirit} to him, whose work is to lead man into all truth. Angels as ministering spirits bear the word of God to man according to the leadings of the Holy Spirit of God who controls the work on earth after Christ {John6:63, 15:26, Romans8:14}. All their works were fully covered and directed by the brightness of the word of God already shown to man; they were no more seen physically to appear before man while delivering the special messages, rather their work is fully manifested physically on man as the messengers of God on earth. Though their disappearing from the scene after the ascension of Christ to heaven were not sudden, but were gradual as the true light is shining through man to transform him to appear like them physically on earth, to take his place as the messengers of God on earth. In the vision that was received by John the beloved at the island of Patmos, that was delivered to him through the help of an angel. Revelation 22: 15 say, “I, Jesus, have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star”. When we consider the condition John was in before the vision was given to him, he was totally cut off from all the interesting things of this life, and the Bible confirmed that he was in spirit when he cut the vision. The spirit of God leads him to the point where he was able to observe the scene with the ministering spirit clearly. The angels were used to minister to him, those words of the plan of redemption written at the back, just at the time the events happening in the church suits the interpretation of the message, at the time most of the event was unfolding on man. Just as Jesus promised to the apostle saying, I have many things to tell you but you cannot bear them now, when the Spirit of truth will come, He will lead you to all truth. John was led by the Holy Spirit, but the angels were used to serve him the truth. Angels from the beginning where created to be spirit, but because of man’s early fall, God allowed them to appear to him physically. They were used to train man, for him to assume his full duty on earth as ministers of God by His word. In the Bible there is no record of Jesus performing miracle by the assistance of any angel, all He did was by virtue of being the son of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit. The apostle never performed any miracle of God by the power of any angel, but all were done by the name of Jesus through the Holy Ghost power they have received. In 2Corinthians 11:14-15, the Spirit of God through Paul speaks on the plan of the devil to deceive the church, as he will appear, with the form of the angels of light, in the same manner God has spoken in the past. And He says, “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works”. In the scripture we understand that they have been on earth; the evil angels who is headed by the devil, and their work is to corrupt the works of God ordained for the freedom of man. But being that the devil is a creature who do not have the full knowledge of the plan of God, his operations is mostly based on the past ways the plan has been opened for the knowledge of man. Devil at early time of the foundation of the gospel has tried many ways to deceive the church by the inference of his fellow fallen angels, through the false prophet’s teachings. The false prophets taught that Christ is the chief angels in heaven, which partly is true but with serious deceit because Christ is never an angel for He was not created, but rather all things were created through Him and everything created by God was made to be under Him. This made Him to be chief of all the angels, for it is written in the scripture saying, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made” {John1:1-3}. They taught also that God will only answer prayer through the angels, which also has some truth but equally plot to deceive man. God never send any answer to man’s prayer because of any angel, but He used them as a channel to convey an answer of prayer to man, for the scripture says in Hebrew1:5, “For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?”. In verse14, He confirmed their duty to man, saying, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Prayers were answered when it is asked according to the will of God or the request is made in line of His plan, or He wants to show special favour to man, for He is a merciful God. These and more were devil’s plot to deceive man by the works of the angel, but the Spirit of God never allowed him, for He through the apostles revoked those lies by the word of God. Apostle John speaks through the Holy Spirit in many places concerning devil’s deceits and his work as an antichrist. 1John 4:1, says, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world”. This spirit of the false prophets were the fallen angels whose aim of bearing the truth of God in life of man that loved lie, was to deceive them more with lies, for they deny the true love of God, and through their messages deceive the simple one. The Spirit of God was warning the saved souls to be careful with such messages, for there is no lie in the truth of God; every lie is of the devil. Devil as a wise old serpent saw that he cannot be able to deceive the church with such lies easily; he transformed himself as an angel of light and enters into the church of God on sheep clothing, and appeared like a sheep. He did this after he had tried to exterminate the light of the gospel through killing the believers, which did not work. Devil settled down inside the church and began to redirect the eyes of man first on the additions, love of pleasures and earthly things more than the love of God. He coursed people to seek God because of gifts and their eyes were removed from the plan that God has to purify their soul. Because man refused the warnings from God, He allowed them into delusion to be deceived by the devil and continue to unfold the plan. Men disobedient to God caused him to change the way God ordained for his salvation, “which is by faith that work with complete obedience to the word of God”. Devil deceived man and introduces the ministration by the fallen angel to him; he went back and reformed all those ways God has spoken to man before with the physical things, he builds temporal kingdom for man and begins to deceive him through them. He manipulates dreams through the demons, course people to have false visions and through that instigates fear into man, which he uses to frustrate his life. Devil through the appearance of the fallen angels deceived man with the messages concerning the second coming of Jesus Christ. The ministrations from the fallen angels stands as the Babylon army, which the devil has used to disorganized the whole places of worship, for that is a strange fire in house of God. This last system he used began to manifest on earth after the out pour of the second rain made for the preparation of harvest, which happened in America. He used the gifts and appearance of the fallen angels to deceive the greater number of Pentecostal believers whom God has blessed with the Holy Ghost baptism and they fell into delusion because of the miracles. As it is written in the scripture, “...The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way”. The baptism of the Holy Spirit was given to prepare the church for the last revival which it’s focus were to be on the spiritual things , but the enemy came and sowed lies that changed the focus of the church to the material possession. But according to the scripture Christ allowed it till the end of the world, to be used to fulfil the word of God, for it is written, “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn”. This is the time, and the harvest will begin from the church, to show the last grace to man that whosoever will yield to the will of God will be saved. In Deuteronomy 13:1-3, God says, “If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul”. God after sending the Holy Ghost baptism to the Church allowed the enemy to try her, but majority failed and were drawn into delusion to be led by an angel, of which Moses during his time refused because angel’s work to man is based on instruction from God and they don’t have right to change them. The disobedience continues to spread to every worships centre till all were affected with the poison from the fallen angels. Then the devil moved before God to claim every local church as his own, for all have lies in their worship to God. But thank God for the last grace which starts first with the Gentiles, in Obadiah 1:17, He made a promise concerning this time saying, “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possession”. God has approved Zion through judgement, as it is written in Isaiah1:27, saying, “Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness”. In the mercy and love of God to redeem man, He has set an organisation where the whole truth can be received to save man from the destruction that is coming now upon every work of wickedness. Therefore free yourself from Babylon for God still loves you and wants to save you now.
