THE THIRD ANGEL Share this with everyone - please THE MOST FEARFUL WARNING IN ALL OF THE BIBLE COMES DOWN TO YOU AND ME – PART OF THE LAST GENERATION BEFORE JESUS COMES AGAIN “Then A THIRD ANGEL followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints; here are those[a] who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.’” Revelation 14:9-12. This is God’s last warning message just before Christ comes again as describe just a couple verses later - ”Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You[a] to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” Revelation 14:14-15. WHAT IS THIS “THIRD ANEL’S” MESSAGE ALL ABOUT? NOTICE: God warns everyone on Planet Earth “with a loud voice” (Revelation 14:6-7) not to “worship the beast” a false type of popular “Christian” worship. Those who worship in this way – breaking “the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus will “drink of the wine of the wrath of God. Those who worship God instead of the false Christian worship will “keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” The question is HOW? -- How do we “keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus?” The How is a vital part of the Third angel’s message that some people miss and without this vital component they are what the Bible calls “foolish” virgins – professing a “pure” faith but lacking the power. This is something like building a wonderful car or plane but lacking the fuel to make them operate. A plane or a car without fuel is of no value. The value of a plane or a car or a Semi truck is in its ability to move and transport people and supplies from one location to another. Therefore if we learn all about the Three Angel’s message of Revelation 14:6-12 but do not learn how to receive the POWER to “keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus” we have nothing. That is why E.G. White wrote, “ Several have written to me, inquiring if the message of justification by faith is the third angel’s message, and I have answered, “It is the third angel’s message in verity.”—The Review and Herald, April 1, 1890. Ev 190.3 ”This message was to bring more prominently before the world the uplifted Saviour, the sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. It presented justification through faith in the Surety; it invited the people to receive the righteousness of Christ, which is made manifest in obedience to all the commandments of God. Many had lost sight of Jesus. They needed to have their eyes directed to His divine person, His merits, and His changeless love for the human family. All power is given into His hands, that He may dispense rich gifts unto men, imparting the priceless gift of His own righteousness to the helpless human agent. This is the message that God commanded to be given to the world. It is the third angels message, which is to be proclaimed with a loud voice, and attended with the outpouring of His Spirit in a large measure.” {Ev 190.4} GOD WANTS TO TEACH YOU HIS DIVINE SECRETS OF SUCCESS! God wants you to find answers – Jesus says so! He says, “ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” He teaches us the secrets of success! THE SCIENCE THAT PREPARES EVERYONE FOR THE HARVEST “Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, ‘Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.’ Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. THIS SCIENCE RESULTS IN TRUE CONVERSION “Ministers preaching present truth will assent to the necessity of the influence of the Spirit of God in the conviction of sin and the conversion of souls, and this influence must attend the preaching of the Word, but they do not feel its importance sufficiently to have a deep and practical knowledge of the same. The scantiness of the grace and power of the divine influence of the truth upon their own hearts prevents them from discerning spiritual things and from presenting its positive necessity upon the church. So they go crippling along, dwarfed in religious growth, because they have in their ministry a legal religion. The power of the grace of God is not felt to be a living, effectual necessity, an abiding principle.” {8MR 277.2} CRY ALOUD - PRAY FOR GODS HOLY SPIRIT! “Oh, that all could see this and embrace the message given them of God! He has raised up His servants to present truth that, because it involves lifting the cross, has been lost sight of, and is buried beneath the rubbish of formality. It must be rescued and be reset in the framework of present truth. Its claims must be asserted, and its position given it in the third angels message. Let the many ministers of Christ sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly, and seek God while He is to be found. Call upon Him while you are now lying at the foot of the cross of Calvary. Divest yourselves of all pride and as representative guardians of the churches, weep between the porch and the altar, and cry ‘Spare Thy people, Lord, and give not Thine heritage to reproach. Take from us what Thou wilt, but withhold not Thy Holy Spirit from us, Thy people.’ Pray, oh, pray for the outpouring of the Spirit of God!”--Ms 27, 1889. (The Need of a New Concept of Righteousness by Faith, September 13, 1889.) “The Lord is speaking to His people at this time, saying, Gain an entrance into the cities, and proclaim the truth in simplicity and in faith. Introduce no strange doctrine into your message, but speak the simple words of the gospel of Christ, which young and old can understand. The unlearned as well as the educated are to comprehend the truths of the third angels message, and they must be taught in simplicity. If you would approach the people acceptably, humble your hearts before God and learn His ways.” MEDICAL MINISTRY, page 299. THE SECRET? - GODS GIFTS ARE IN HIS PROMISES We need look for no outward evidence of the blessing. The gift is in the promise, and we may go about our work assured that what God has promised He is able to perform, and that the gift, which we already possess, will be realized when we need it most. {Ed 258.2} TOO MANY SERMONS ARE PREACHED THAT NEVER TEACH US HOW TO LIVE A SUCCESSFUL CHRISTIAN LIFE “HOW TO exercise faith should be made very plain. To every promise of God there are conditions. If we are willing to do His will, all His strength is ours. Whatever gift He promises, is in the promise itself. The seed is the word of God. Luke 8:11. As surely as the oak is in the acorn, so surely is the gift of God in His promise. If we receive the promise, we have the gift.” Education, page 253. God has placed His gifts of forgiveness, peace, love, strength, the Holy Spirit and His Power in His “exceedingly great and precious promises.” REACH OUT YOUR HAND AND GRASP IT. “It is peace that you need--Heavens forgiveness and peace and love in the soul. . . . You can never hope, by your own efforts, to secure it. But God offers it to you as a gift, ‘without money and without price.’ Isaiah 55:1. It is yours if you will but reach out your hand and grasp it. But they may CLAIM the blessing of God even now. They must have His grace, the Spirit of Christ, to help their infirmities, or they cannot resist evil. Jesus loves to have us come to Him just as we are, sinful, helpless, dependent. We may come with all our weakness, our folly, our sinfulness, and fall at His feet in penitence.” Steps to Christ, page 52. LEARN AND TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO BELIEVE AND CLAIM GODS PROMISES, GODS GIFTS! “Many who come to the meeting are weary and heavy laden with sin. They do not feel safe in their religious faith. Opportunity should be given for those who are troubled and want rest in spirit to find help. After a discourse those who wish to follow Christ should be invited to signify their desire. Invite all who are not satisfied that they are prepared for Christs coming, and all who feel burdened and heavy laden, to come apart by themselves. Let those who are spiritual converse with these souls. Pray with and for them. Let much time be spent in prayer and close searching of the Word. Let all obtain the real facts of faith in their own souls through belief that the Holy Spirit will be imparted to them because they have a real hungering and thirsting after righteousness. TEACH THEM HOW TO surrender themselves to God, HOW TO BELIEVE, HOW TO CLAIM THE PROMISES.
