THE TIMELESS TIME Time presses its face against the window pane gazing at me gazing back at it. There is only glass between us. Time is ravenous for my moment of being even though bloated with ages past. It wants to devour this second I am. It roams about the house pretending it is weather on the staircase the dead bear raises a paw in supplication grins toothily its glass eyes staring at the shadows at the top of the stairs an eagle caught in the very moment of taking flight shackled to a false rock lightning flashing in its beady eye. I feel Time would like to take me stuff me too the human animal along with its lions and tigers and bears oh my and now Time storms the shivering house rattles the window panes as I escape into the safety of sleep the timeless time of dreams
