PERHAPS SOMEONE SHOULD TELL THIS VATICAN BUREAUCRAT, WHAT PALESTINIAN SOVEREIGNTY REALLY WOULD MEAN. (1) A Sovereign Palestine State would mean it would have all the obligations that any other political state has -- including the obligation to insure that its territory not be used to attack a neighbor. (2) A Sovereign Palestinian State would mean an end to jobs in Israel or travel through Israel without visas, and at the first sign that terrorists might try to get passed, borders can be closed hermetically and Israel can determine who gets visas -- and who does not - all legally under International law. (3) A Sovereign Palestinian State loses all access to Israeli subsidies, will have to pay cash for electric power, and will have no Israeli money for its schools and students. (4) And then there is the question of rights -- Jewish rights. Will the Vatican guarantee Jewish rights in the Palestine State? And will the Vatican take responsibility for the inevitable war that will come the first time terrorists attack Israel?
