THE WAY OF GRACE (from the interview with Jacelyn Bronte PhD) JACELYN: If you were to suggest to somebody how to open to Grace …? IGOR: I don’t know … the mystery of it is that unless Grace itself prepares us, unless the Grace itself opens the door and invites … I don’t know, I have this feeling that I could say that I was dedicated, of course I could easily go to that whole range of tools and methodology, attitude - but ultimately speaking, it was not that. It is as if Grace itself was doing the work. So it is up to Grace from the very start through the intermediate stages, and it is Grace all the way. JACELYN: Can you relate that to the people who wake up and aren’t pleased with that? IGOR: What is very important is our predisposition, and it is easy to say it is all up to Grace, and Grace is all there is. However, in practical terms I don’t want to leave out those who would like to hear something in terms of actual application, in terms of how that can be applied. Trust is the main factor here. Trust - and unconditional trust, that which allows the Grace, that is what invites the Grace; that trust, that welcoming, that openness - that is what invites Grace in the first place. That is what also allows the Grace to do its work, because when we speak about it we still speak a little bit in terms of the honeymoon of that experience. The descent of Grace as a phase is almost always accompanied by a period of tremendous reorganization, a purification, realignment – and that is when the real work begins. Then the Grace reveals – the Divine reveals its face, and we see ourselves in a mirror of our divine reflection for the first time and recognize ourselves there. That is often accompanied by the revelation of that which has been hidden, that which has a shadow in nature, because the arrival of Grace does not just wipe us clean and make us complete saints! It is a process where the real work begins, and the Grace is that opening factor. This is why in Eastern esoteric traditions – and I am sure in Western traditions, if we go back to early Christianity and we go to the oldest teachings that were prevalent in the west, speaking about American soil, going back to the practices prevalent among the Native Americans, the act of Grace is the portal; it is the opening door through which we have to walk. And then this is where the cleansing, this is where the purgatory begins. This is where the real work begins, because a lot of what we are otherwise not even aware of then stares at us, usually when that initial impact wanes down … and it is bound to wane down. So this is for those who want to know how to invite Grace, what we can do. It is that trust, that unconditional trust and openness, and realization - understanding that really that is our birthright, but also our responsibility. It is the inborn responsibility to open, just like every flower – no matter how beautiful it is in the bud – it comes to its full glory when it fully opens up. JACELYN: Is that your sense of why … [I don’t like using the word] what is the meaning of life? What we are doing here? Why does Grace even show up? IGOR: Maybe we can turn it the other way around. Grace is all there is, and whenever we pierce reality - what we are conditioned to identify with as this dimensional reality, as this identification with the body, mind, ego, intellect, that which is only a certain facet of Consciousness, the instrumentality of Consciousness which allows Consciousness to experience itself in this physical form - when that reality is being pierced, torn, ruptured, that allows the Grace to shine forth really. Grace does not really come and go – Grace is all there is at all times. It is when we [as it were] - in that limited conditioned state - when something happens and this status quo is being shattered, however little – that is when Grace has the chance to shine forth and through.
