THINGS THAT HAPPENED AT THE CORINTHIAN LAST NIGHT It was mobbed. I was actually having such a good gig that I ACTUALLY relented and played Piano Man (although I did change some of the lyrics.) It turned into a massive sing-song around the piano and we ended up doing the entirety of SIDE 1 of the Grease soundtrack, right up to, and including Look At Me Im Sandra Dee A woman accidentally asked for Dr Who instead of Dr Hook and I played the Doctor Who theme as a backing whilst singing Sylvias Mother over the top. I had two Red Bulls, which is why Im up at thon time A couple celebrated 30 years together dancing to Wonderful Tonight as it was the first dance at their wedding. I realised, as I was singing it, that Wonderful Tonight is basically about a husband getting so pissed at a party that his wife has to put him to bed in the last verse. A woman almost had a fit of joy because I actually knew Nik Kershaws The Riddle Piano Man was asked for eleven times. IT WAS A GREAT GIG!!!!!!!!!!! Come down, last Friday of every month x
