THY RIGHTS Good evening beloved, welcome to ‘’Scripture - TopicsExpress

THY RIGHTS Good evening beloved, welcome to ‘’Scripture Review’’, sorry for the delay in transmission… There is something about RIGHTS as described in the bible that we need to look into critically, checking through the preceding verses of Matthew 5:27-29; our Lord Jesus Christ talked about the RIGHT EYE and the RIGHT HAND. Let’s check it again: If thy right hand will cause you to sin, pluck it out, for it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God blind than to have two eyes and be cast into hell fire, a place where their worm dies not and the fire is not quenched; if thy right hand will make you to sin, cut it off, for it is better to enter into the kingdom of God main than to have two hands and be cast into hell. Many things can catch our attentions we study the passage in Matthew chapter five, yet something is wrong about what many people are seeing. Most people see AVOIDANCE in that passage, but they don’t see SELF DENIAL. The passage is not talking of avoidance, but rather denial. Not that if some groups of boys or girls will make you to sin, avoid them, as good as this instruction may be; that is not what the Lord is talking about. Throughout the ministry of our Lord Jesus on the earth, the basis of His ministration was personal humility; not looking at the specks in another person’s eyes, forgetting the beam in your own eyes; His message is rooted in humility. Before we can fully understand what Jesus was talking about I think we need to dissect the word by creating a divide between the word RIGHT and the word EYE. Right means what belong to you; it means your portion or possession; that which is your inheritance by the virtue of your birth. Eyes represent light, direction, focus or concentration. If you marry the two together what do you get = the portion of your concentration, or your possession with a direction; in other words it means your directs possession. For instance, is a woman belong to you and you have dedicated or spent so much on her, if another man just came from nowhere and snatched her from you; as a Christian you must let go no matter how painful it feels. You must deny yourself. No wonder Jesus says except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. If sinners loves their friends and hate their enemies and Christians also loves Christian brothers and sisters, and hate unbelievers, what makes the difference? If sinners will not make troubles unless someone hurts them or crosses their boundaries or steps on their toes, what difference does it make if a Christian only fights when someone infringes on your right? So you say Christianity is not stupidity! You are on your own! Jesus never thought you that; it was Satan who thought you that kind of memory verse. Many people don’t understand a dime about this Scripture. What makes you a Christian is not your quietness, but when people deliberately hurts you; take what belong to you without you complaining; when people step on your toes without you fighting or trying to fight back. That is true Christianity. Many Christians claim to be gentle today as long as nobody steps on their toes or rob them of their rights. My friend that is not the Scripture! Until people deprive you of your rights and rob you in broad day light, take everything you legally acquired and still tag you with a bad name, but you remain calm and commit all things to Him who judges righteously. My brothers and sisters, that is true Christianity. Christianity is not about money, gains, physical possessions; it is a life of sacrifice, a life of consecration, dedication and devotion. Our Lord Jesus Christ promised all Christian to be assured of their inheritance in heaven, and for the earth, persecution. Don’t you read your bible? Don’t you get it? I think what is missing here is prayer and total reliance on God and His unfailing Grace. Why don’t you ask God to take from you the heart of stone and give you the earth of flesh the moment. Our god is faithful, He will heal your wounded heart in Jesus name. Amen.
