TIPS FROM THE LIB BUILD CREW: The beautiful grounds if LIB are quite hilly this year. I recommend people bring a shovel so that they can make sure the ground under their tents is flat before pitching. Extra blankets! The temp at night has been dropping to the low 50s. Sleeping bags work, but an extra blanket will go along way. If you have a big group of friends coming, the first thing I would do prior to getting here is look at the map (see below) and decide on a meeting spot within the festival. With multiple campsites this year, groups will get mixed around so having a central location to head to right away will save time and your cell phone battery. Definitely metal tent stakes. My plastic tent stakes bent in half when I was trying to hammer them in. Some of the ground is very soft, and other parts are extremely hard pact. Id bring extra just incase Sturdy Boots! The grounds are big and beautiful, but parts can be rugged and uneven. Also, if youre in a hurry, taking short cuts throughout the festival requires heading off the main roads. Attendees are definitely going to want to pack daypacks when heading into the festival grounds each day, similar to Burning Man. Campsites are spread out and temperatures are warm during the day and cool at night so layers, snacks, and blankets to sit on will make a world of difference.
