TNN Court Watch - 2 Taft Cases Before the Courts Both Schools Related 11/14/2014 Todd D. Lederer - Editor In the DUI case of Taft City Schools Superintendent, Ron Bryant, court records show that the pretrial conference scheduled for Thursday was postponed until January 13, 2015. Bryant was arrested in Bakersfield during the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 27th of this year. This is Bryants second DUI case in as many years. The superintendent was placed on administrative leave following his arrest. In the case of Bryan Oliver, Bowe Cleveland, the Taft High School student shot by Oliver, testified yesterday and today the jury is expected to hear testimony from several classmates.
