TO HELL WITH THIS SCHOOL My daughter will be joining secondary school next year, this week I decided to visit some of the schools of our ( parents) and her choice. On Sunday I visited St Josephs sss Nsambya, I liked it especially the strictness on the girls. My wife however insists that she joins a mixed school. Today we visited her choice ..... s ss. We were allowed to move around and interact with the students by the authorities. Come lunch time, we went to one of the canteens ( they have two) next to the girls dormitories, here we found a number of girls ordering for chips and liver, rice and meat, macaroni and eggs, all brand of soda etc etc, my heart skipped a beat!! I asked one of the girls why some of them dont go to the dinning like the rest of the students. She said, We hate Posho and beans I asked how they manage such a lifestyle when they dont work!! she said, Our parents provide us with enough money and besides some of us work during holidays. We left the place and moved around in silence, we found two other food vendors under trees serving cheaper dishes to the lower class students here matooke meat goes for 2000 ONLY!! I told my wife that I cannot bring my angel in such an environment unless I want to train her at 11years to hook sugar daddies to maintain a certain standard. Parents out there visit these school not only on VDs but unexpected visits will reveal a lot. At Turkish light Academy I unexpectedly visited twice, my son invited me to lunch and in the dinning, students and teachers enjoy the same lunch happily discussing, you can never find here a strike for food here like I have seen on TV in school in Busoga!! THE SEARCH IS STILL ON WHICH SCHOOL DO YOU PROPOSE?
