TO PETER BUNTING! Dear sir, we acknowledge and appreciate ur tireless efforts to fight crime, but u must also take into consideration the negative impact the nature of the ban u r cntemplating wil hav on the economy, our culture and the state of mind of the citizens of jamaica and reggae lovers accross the world. U must also accept and admit that music is for entertainment n was nt purposely made to promote any form of violence. U must also accept and admit that technology has made our music globally accessable and would also monopolate the minds of millions of people worldwide. I myself is a lover of the music frm birth and has never been at any given time influenced in anyway to commit a crime of any sort. The music has done so much for jamaica an so i would rather advise the government to invest in it and it will experience a positive dramatic change in the economy. Movies show u how to make, load and maintain guns and how to effectively and successfully organize crime and yet they are embrased and kept in bosoms. Think abt if whatever u loved as a child was forcefully and unjustly taken away frm u, would u b happy? No u wouldnt! wel if the people lose what they love, they wont b happy and it wil affect them emotionally and psychologically adding to paverty and unemployment and that wil cause believe it or nt, an automatic obserge in crime. What has this type of music done to u people why u seem to hate it so much? Is it because it exposes u n expresses the peoples emotions? If u hate reggae, u hate jamaica and its people so u belong elsewhere. In ur quest to do the stupidness u r contemplating, remember DEMOCRACY
