TRAFFIC ADVISORY Planned Lane Closures on I-59 NB in the Vicinity of Elton B. Stephens Expressway Interchange (Exit 126-A), in Birmingham For Emergency Concrete Bridge Deck Repairs, beginning Friday night and continuing thru the weekend BIRMINGHAM – Weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation announces lane closures, beginning on Friday night, November 15 at 9 p.m. until Monday, November 18 at 5 a.m. at the following location: Interstate 59 northbound outside (right) travel lane and shoulder will be closed throughout the weekend, for Emergency Concrete Bridge Deck Repairs. The I-59 northbound inside (left) and center lanes will remain open to traffic. All ramps will remain open to traffic. Please adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Maintenance Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
