TRUE SELF-ANALYSIS: Many of us spend our whole lives trying to - TopicsExpress

TRUE SELF-ANALYSIS: Many of us spend our whole lives trying to figure out where we fit in. Constantly modifying ourselves and making accommodations for others in hopes of finding that one special person to love us. I was just thinking, here I am 47 years old and can honestly say that I have given pure genuine sincere love & have yet to have that reciprocated. I would bend, shift, go where I wasnt comfortable, do what was opposing to my desires, concede when I could have advocated, given in blind faith from dry wells, and took bullets straight in my heart. And when it became evident that I was alone in my efforts, I thought at first that maybe it was because peoples views on love vary or maybe because by nature, most folk look out for themselves first. However, Ive come to realize, that its not so much the person but the spirit. Its the God IN us that allows us to love with a true agape love - and unfortunately, I have not experienced the love of God through a mate. I have dated me that have said that they put God first in their lives, but their lives told a very different story. This is why we must examine the fruit of a potential mates spirit. And it shouldnt take wondering and questioning to figure out if he/she is walking with God - the fruit will say it all. So, to my bitter-sweet past, I say, so long and to my future I say, Good Morning! Life is but a journey, and I respect each road traveled but in my quiet years, I will pack the lessons learned into my suitcase and use the wisdom to walk a smoother road. Theres a reason why God tells us not to be unequally yoked. Love to all - Tatia
