TUESDAY ON THE TOWN TONIGHT AT BAND SHELL PARK!! Jordan Anderson, Nashville’s newest country sweetheart, has arrived on the scene and is quickly on her way to cementing her spot to country music stardom. With piercing blue eyes and a never ending smile, this young starlet’s music radiates with pure yet commanding vocals that highlight her effortless ability to paint feelings with melodies; letting her soul soar up through the rafters. At just nineteen years old, this whimsical and bubbly songbird has an endless supply of feisty and love-struck tunes, channeling inspiration from the voices of some of country’s most powerful female artists, including Shania Twain and Martina McBride. Born in Loveland, Colorado this effervescent gal was raised in a rural area, learning to help out on her family’s farm and constantly surrounded by country music. The younger of two children, Jordan has been performing since she was only three years old. “I basically came out of the womb singing,” laughs Jordan. With a natural gift for music, it is no surprise that this blue-eyed beauty knew from an early age that singing country music was what she loved and what she wanted to do. “There’s no other genre that values the art of story telling like country music,” says Jordan. “Even as it evolves, country music always honors its roots and your country music ‘family’ supports you forever.” When Jordan was ten, she and her family moved from their farm town in Colorado and relocated to Clermont, Florida where her love for music flourished. Jordan continued to stay involved with music in any way she could, actively participating in theater and choir programs at school and her local church. She auditioned and made the All-State Choir seven years in a row and even landed a place in the cast-choir at Disney World. Incorporating music into every aspect of her life, Jordan began to dabble with the piano at the age of fourteen and picked up the guitar shortly after. Her natural ability to intertwine the two instruments eventually led to her interest in songwriting. “Music is how I express myself. It’s the only thing I am able to express my true emotions through,” shares Jordan. “It sounds kinda cheesy, but music is literally part of my soul. Sometimes I feel like I’ll explode if I don’t go write a song about something or simply go sing a tune.” This twenty year-old lively gal is quickly learning how to balance the demands of a college curriculum and pursuing a music career. “I have a planner that helps me map out when I need to work on what, and I just make sure I stick to that schedule!” Jordan has also concentrated on keeping her family and friends a top priority, along with staying involved with her church. “My family and friends are some of the most important people in my life. My parents raised me in the church and my faith really defines who I am.” In the little spare time she can find as a full-time student and entertainer, Jordan enjoys playing a round of golf and reading a good book. Teaming up with Grammy-nominated producer Kent Wells (Dolly Parton) to create her debut album, Key To My Heart, Jordan had the opportunity to collaborate with well-known songwriters such as Rob Crosby (Martina McBride) and Karen Staley (Reba McEntire) and wrote or co-wrote all of the thirteen tracks on this album. With dreams of sharing her own ‘feel good country’ with the world and one day performing at LP Field during CMA Music Fest, this sweet and sassy girl-next-door isn’t afraid of chasing her dreams. With a slew of performances already under her belt on stages at Disney World, Las Vegas and Nashville hotspots, this young songstress is excited about the road that lies ahead on this musical journey and is ready to take the reigns to show the world what Jordan Anderson can do.
