Talking properly has been a pet peeve of mine for a very long time, the ability to speak properly so others understand you in the correct context and meaning while trying to convey a message. Example; If you pay a person money to do a task, when its done you would say, Thank you. If you are doing a task not for money, and a person Thanks you, then they are implying, that they would have done the task, if you hadnt. If you have no intentions of ever mowing the lawn, or washing the outside of the windows, then the proper 1st response would be..That looks great !! You giving recognition for something that you will never do. In turn the response would be Thank you, (this for the understanding that i know you will never do it ) Ironically I am sitting here writting this and my daughter walks in and says it looks nice outside my reply Thanks as if she was reading my post before I posted it ...
