Tango’s story is a difficult one to read, but the love and help he gives his owner is all the more amazing for the hardships he has overcome! Before being rescued, Tango was being used by his owners in Turkey as a bait dog in a dog fighting ring. As a bait dog, his ears were cut off, his teeth were filed down, skin and muscle in his back detached from being dragged, he lost his front right leg, and even more horrifying, his left shoulder still has buckshot cartridge inside from being shot. These were only some of the injuries he suffered. With the help of hundreds of supporters around the world, money was raised at auction to fly Tango from Turkey to his new home with Caroline Murphy in England. Caroline has multiple tripod dogs, all rescues, and was well equipped to help Tango through his recovery. Tango has returned that love and support; he is now Caroline’s helper as she battles the brain condition psuedotumor cerebi. The Wisdom Panel test revealed that Tango is a Bernese Mountain Dog/German Shepard/ Mixed Breed! Tango’s days are now full of love and his pack includes dogs, cats and rabbits!
