Cold to very cold at first with patchy frost, then a cool day. Light winds tending moderate west to northwesterly during the day, with coastal sea breezes about the east. Weather Situation A slow moving high over the Bight extends a ridge to Tasmania while a low is centred off the New South Wales coast. The ridge will shift northwards today as a cold front approaches from the southwest and the low starts to move southeast. The front will cross Tasmania on Thursday morning. The high will strengthen and move towards the state late on Thursday before moving to the east of the state on Friday, as another front moves into the Bight region.
