This years suite excited talent like never before, offering luxury apparel and accessories to local and international actors, directors, singers and personalities. Talent that visited or were gifted by the Tastemakers Lounge presented by Brita® this year include Ethan Hawke, Harvey Weinstein, Rene Russo, Ellie Goulding, Elisha Cuthbert, Tom Green, Clara Pasieka, Morten Tyldum, TIFF Rising Stars Julia Sarah Stone, Alexandre Landry and Sophie Desmarais and Shannon Kook, Shemar Moore, Rachel Skarsten, Spenny, Lauren Collins, Ruba Nadda, Kari Matchett, Jully Black, Melinda Shankar, Natalie Brown, Emily Hampshire, Katie Boland, Kristin Booth, Jennifer Podemski, Tara Spencer-Nairn, Gabrielle Miller, Lauren Lee Smith, Kardinal Offishall, Jian Ghomeshi, Arlene Dickinson, Ben Mulroney, Cheryl Hickey, Tracy Moore, Rick Campanelli, Brad Smith, Drew and Jonathan Scott and reality stars from The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise including Graham Bunn, Michael Stagliano, Chris Bukowski, and many more. Day Five: September 8, 2013 Actor Ethan Hawke (Good Kill) spent some time walking around the lounge, he was impressed with the luxury accessories in the lounge and took a pair of SOREL Ankenny™ Mid Boots with him. Hawke enjoyed a hand massage from LUSH Cosmetics with Charity Pot moisturizing lotion that includes Fair Trade organic cocoa butter, almond oil and fragrant ylang ylang. Singer-songwriter Jully Black snapped a picture with the gracious Ethan Hawke. She had an amazing time hanging out at the lounge, getting fitted for a “fresh” Danier Leather jacket, a hot Tonia DeBellis Haute Hoodie and much more. Black got everyone in the lounge excited after listening to her new single “Here to Love You” from her upcoming album Made in Canada. Budding actor Clara Pasieka (Maps to the Stars) was cute and playful during her visit to the lounge, she gravitated toward the bold statement necklaces from olive + piper. Director Jeffrey St. Jules and actor David Reale (Bang Bang Baby) hit the lounge to get refreshed for their premiere at the Brita water bar. They picked up some leather accessories perfect for travelling from Danier Leather and new boots from Piloti that Reale said he loved his new Primo luxury dress loafers in supple grey suede and can’t wait to wear them around town. Canadian model and actor Monika Schnarre and comedian Spenny (Kenny vs. Spenny) had a great time catching at the lounge and bonding over their little ones at home, even sharing some adorable cell phone photos. Spenny was pumped to receive a RISE Gear carry-on bag since hes heading out on tour. Schnarre was excited to get home and try Counting Sheep Coffee since she only drinks decaf. The pair were so thrilled to get a new pair of fall boots from SOREL they both wore them out the door! Actor and writer Michael Seater really connected with the Charity Pot initiative from Tastemakers charitable partner LUSH Cosmetics, he took some information about Girls Rock Camp, an organization he would love to get involved with. City TVs handsome host Brad Smith headed to the lounge fresh off an interview with Jennifer Aniston. Smith was blown away by the awesome Canadian brands in the lounge including Papa D’s Tropical Hot Sawce and Consonant Skincare, he’s excited to try HydrExtreme to keep his skin looking camera ready. Actor Kari Matchett in town shooting Covert Affairs enjoyed the scent of Calvin Klein REVEAL for her, the hottest new fragrance featuring notes of raw salt, pink pepper, sandalwood and musk. She also thought the Snoodie from Tonia DeBellis was smart and stylish.
