Upon joining the gubernatorial race, Obuh immediately embarked upon a strategic consultation visits to all the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) LGA Executives in the twenty five (25) local government areas of the state. He was well received everywhere he went. The people came out in large numbers, chanting the “OBUPOLIMANIA” songs laced with traditional political drum beats. At the end of the consultation, Sir Obuh political popularity soared like the eagle into number one position of gubernatorial aspirant’s list in Delta State. He suddenly progressed from that list to be the most celebrated aspirant due to his solid credentials, his power of political oratory and above all his perceived and confirmed detribalized posture. Before you could say “JACK”, Obuh’s political pedigree got more matured as a result of his humility, simplicity and sound moral and Christian background. Recently, Sir Obuh procured the PDP Governorship Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms. The news rocked airwaves in Delta State and soon after, the OBUPOLIMANIA political fever caught up with his teaming supporters who stormed the streets jubilating. The reason for the jubilation is not farfetched. Few days before the procurement of the Nomination forms, crafty political rumour mongers flooded the social media that Sir Obuh may at best be the political “John the Baptist” who merely came to announce the coming of the actual prime PDP governorship aspirant in the State and that he (Obuh) will not procure the party nomination forms for this reason. Asaba went agog as market women, supporters, party faithful and people from all walks of life gathered in droves to have a swell time. It was indeed a mini-carnival. Obuh is now set to do the “big one” on Thursday October 30, 2014. He will formally declare for the GOVERNORSHIP RACE.
