Tecnica Lavinia, 800HP Electric Supercar. It’s not just the average commuter car that’s going hybrid or full-electric these days. Even supercars are making the switch. A time when it’s no longer a novelty to hear of electric supercars being developed isn’t too far in the future. The latest contender with an all-electric supercar comes from a small Italian carmaker by the name of Tecnica. Their potential entry into the market will be called the Tecnica Lavinia and it’s still very much a work in progress. The Sicily based company has finished designing their electric supercar but it’s yet to be built. They say it includes an electric motor that is capable of 800 horsepower. All that horsepower makes the Tecnica Lavinia pretty quick with a 0-60 time of just 3.5 seconds. It’s also capable of hitting an impressive top speed of 187 mph, which is no small feat for an electric car. These images show what the car will look like when it’s finished, but at this point it’s still under construction. There’s no word on when the Lavinia will make its debut, but we’ll likely all be waiting awhile before we actually see if the Tecnica Lavinia lives up to its promise. Boldride
