Ted Wilson and I attended a graveside memorial today for our wonderful 87-year-old neighbor, Maxine Higginson, who died suddenly of age-related causes last weekend. Her 86-year-old sister delivered a razor-sharp, detailed and witty eulogy, part of which included an explanation of how the two sisters exchanged letters, phone calls and local newspaper clippings over the decades between their homes in Utah and Idaho. Without missing a beat, sister Shirlene ended her remarks by holding up a handful of newspaper clippings and said: Maxine, I brought a whole stack of clippings for you, but I dont know where to send them. You didnt leave a forwarding address.
