Teen Science Cafe for ME! is starting up again this fall and proudly announces TSC #4, our first Cafe of the 2014-2015 season: On Thursday, September 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Thompson Free Library in Dover-Foxcroft, Mike Watson, amateur (but very knowledgeable) astronomer, will be presenting Astronomy of New Planets and the Goldilocks Zone. There will be a free meal, hands-on activities, and a great presentation. Teens from all surrounding communities are the target audience, but all ages are welcome to attend. In addition, the Thompson Free Library is working with TSC4ME! to host a follow-up STAR Party at Peaks-Kenny State Park on Friday, September 26, starting at 6 pm. There will be telescopes on hand (including one you can check out of the library!) or bring your own. Astronomers will also be there to answer questions and help you navigate the night sky. Admission to the park is free for attendees! Teen Science Cafe for Me! is a program of The STEM Guides Project of Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance and is supported by National Science Foundation Grant #1322827.
