Teenage boy assaulted – Freshwater A teenage boy has been charged after allegedly assaulting another teenage boy in Freshwater last night. Police have been told it was about 10.50pm yesterday (Saturday 31 May 2014), two youths, aged 16 and 17, began fighting near the intersection of Lawrence Street and Oliver Street. The 17-year-old allegedly punched the 16-year-old, knocking him backwards onto the footpath. Witnesses called officers from Northern Beaches LAC - NSW Police Force, who attended and established a crime scene. The injured teen was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital by Ambulance Paramedics in a stable condition with minor head and hip injuries. Following inquiries, police arrested a 17-year-old boy at Brookvale and took him to Dee Why Police Station. He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and granted conditional bail to appear at a children’s court on Monday 16 June 2014.
