Tensions have sparked among the main opposition leaders after Mohammad Mohaqiq and Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum, senior members of the national front reached to an agreement with Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, leader of the national coalition. Haji Mohammad Mohammad Mohaqiq following a letter posted on his Facebook page criticized a number of national coalition leaders for being failed to have a central social foundation and lack of international fame. Mohaqiq in his letter further added that Turkey has key role in the agreement between him and Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum. He also criticized the demands of Uzbeks for the vice-presidentship and said that such demands are not acceptable considering the views of Afghan people. Mr. Mohaqiq also added that Ahmad Zia Massoud is not acceptable to international community, and it was revealed during meetings with the western and eastern officials, therefore he is not willing to support the team led by Ahmad Zia Massoud. He also added that only former intelligence chief Amrullah Saleh has support among the Tajiks, however, he does not have a strong and central social foundation. Mohaqiq also ctiticized Amrullah Saleh for being too much critical and misuse from Ahmad Zia Massoud’s power for his own targets. However, Amrullah Saleh denied the remarks of Haji Mohaqiq and accused him of being supported by regional spy agencies. Saleh said that the expenses of Mohaqiq’s television netework ‘Rah-e-Farda’ was sponsored by intelligence agencies who are having specific goals in Afghanistan. khaama/tensions-among-opposition-leaders-as-presidential-run-off-looms-1898
