Texas conservatives, I know you guys arent big on things like facts and critical thinking. It pains me, but I have finally worked through the stages of grieving to where I am now at acceptance. Here are the facts. If you arent one of the 100,000 or so people worth more than 20,000,000 dollars in this state, then by voting republican you are voting against your own interest. Are you honestly so wrapped up in keeping a revisionist version of cultural history alive that you willingly vote to keep making the rich richer, and you closer to a soup kitchen? The conservative fantasy that, at one time this was a perfect, god fearing nation where everyone was faithful and pure is a lie that you have been fed and swallowed whole. The theory that eventually the rich will become so rich that their cups will overflow, and the rest of us will be the recipients of their largess, is also a lie. Do you know what the rich do when they get richer? They buy a bigger cup. Please, put your fear and ideological purity aside and vote to improve the general welfare of the state. When the lowest of us is doing well, then everyone is doing better. Read your history, this has worked in the past, and will keep working. Wake up, grow up, Pete
