Thank you for everyone joining this group. The reason I started this page was because my post this morning was deleted off another site for reason I dont know why. Here was my post: SCAM ALERTt!! I keep receiving phone calls from spanish men saying they are holding my brother hostage and demanded money for his ransom!! The caller said my brother got into a car accident with his nephew this morning & since his nephew is wanted for MURDER, the police couldnt be called to the scene so they kidnapped him. He said I needed to find the closest CVS to me & Western Union $1,700 to pay the medical bills for his nephew Matthew who got hurt in this car accident on Rt. 21 and if I didnt cooperate with these men, they were going to put a bullet in my brothers legs!! He even went as far as firing gun shots to try & scare me. The phone # came up as Newark, NJ (862) 368-3207. These guys are calling a lot of people in the area to try and scam them also so I am putting the word out. If you google their phone #, you can see other victims posts on the website whocalledme. This is a PATHETIC way to try & extort hard working people out of their money!! I called my local police department and they listened in on their terroristic threats. A police report was filed and now passed onto the Detectives. I dont know if the callers have a list they are using to call random people to make these sick threats. So if you or someone you know gets this call, please do not be worried b/c its a SCAM.
