Thanks to everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes...it was a fantastic day! 5 years ago, I wondered if I would ever have a good birthday again. See, Dave and I shared the same birthday, which used to be a really fun and awesome thing. So when he died, my birthday became another really sad day and just one more reminder that he was gone. Yesterday, for the first time in years, it wasnt just a good day, but a great one! I was given an opportunity to look back at where I was 5 years ago and acknowledge how far Ive come in this grief journey. By Gods grace, Ive come remarkably far, and I am truly blessed to have amazing and wonderful friends and family in my life! Thanks to my FN/SO peeps for sharing it with me and thanks to ARA Spa in St. Charles, MO for all the pampering! Let the birthday week fun continue. Happy to say that Im excited to see what next years birthday holds!!!
