Thanks to ranchers maintaining large intact areas of sagebrush - TopicsExpress

Thanks to ranchers maintaining large intact areas of sagebrush habitat in Southeast Montana, Greater Sage Grouse are doing pretty well there. If we are going to have the same kind of success here in Saskatchewan and Alberta, I cant understate the importance of ranchers and well managed grazing provided by their livestock. Good education and implementation of beneficial management practices, mixed with a healthy dose of respect by government and non-government agencies for the service only ranchers will be able to provide will be key in preventing the Sage Grouse from disappearing from Canada!
