The 11/12 years grand final between Rhino Rubies and Northside Divas started at a fast pace with Divas sinking the very first goal of the match. Through a flurry of turnovers and erratic ball movement, Rubies shot into the lead with a cheer. Spectators remained vocal and enthusiastic throughout the game, supporting the girls as they fought for possession of the ball and played to the best of their ability. Rhino player Kelsey Burt proved to be a strong defensive force to be reckoned with as teammate Darcee Osborne performed brilliantly in the centre court. Northside pulled out all their very best tricks in the last quarter, with both Natasha Moore and Bronte Woods relentlessly fighting for dominance, but they couldn’t quite best the Rhinos and their powerful on-court presence, taking the game and the winning title confidently.
