The Ad Hoc Investigative Mechanism team investigating into allegations by Juba and Khartoum claimed on continued support to rebels has ended peacefully. South Sudan’s army Spokesperson Philip Aguer told Gurtong that the team held several talks with several security authorities including ex-militia groups who recently surrendered to Juba. He said South Sudan authorities availed them with the necessary evidence Juba has for its claim that Khartoum is backing rebels fighting President Salva Kiir’s government. The Ad Hoc Investigation team convened the meeting in Juba and they proceeded to Khartoum. The Spokesperson at the South Sudan’s Ministry of Defense Mach Paul Kuol had said South Sudan has substantial evidence on its claim that Sudan is backing rebels fighting its government in Juba.
