The Bible tells us to magnify the Lord. To magnify means to make bigger. But, you can’t make God any bigger than He already is. You can, however, make Him bigger in your experience. You see, our Creator knew thousands of years ago what science has only recently discovered. That upon which you focus your attention becomes larger in your experience. The brain actually creates new neuro-pathways to make you more efficient at experiencing the object of your attention. So God doesn’t really come and go, but our experience changes based on our focus. Likewise, our pain and our problems may not really be getting bigger. We’re just focusing on them more. So whatever we want more of is where must place our attention.
