† The Calling and The Sending † As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will send you out to fish for people. At once they left their nets and followed him. Matthew 4:18–20 NIV Jesus told Peter and Andrew to follow Him and that He would send them out to fish for men. They followed Jesus a long time before this actually took place, but it did take place because in chapter 10 He sent them out. There is an amount of time between Jesus calling you, and Jesus sending you. How long is unknown to us and it varies person to person. This span of time varies throughout the Bible. David was king at thirty, Moses started his ministry at eighty. Has God called you for something, but it has yet to come to pass? Do not give up yet, this is perfectly normal. God is faithful, and there is a wait between the calling and the sending.
