The Christmas tree for Washington D.C. this year will be taken from the Chippewa Natl Forest on our rez Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. We had an opportunity to decorate pine cones which will be hung on the tree this Christmas. This was an activity at the Elder Expo. Tree to D.C. committee raised 6 grand to take the Bug School students to D.C. What an honor for them. Posting pics of some elders decorating.
