The Community Housing Trust is providing a solution to the shortage of affordable housing by relocating houses from the red zone areas to new sections. The scheme targets first-time homebuyers and low-income families. The average cost of a finished house will be $1100 to $1200 per square metre. We think the idea is a good low-cost solution to housing shortage and good saving on the cost of demolition and landfill space.
